Ukraine Mission

story timeIn the Ukraine, through our affiliated Ministry Abundance Life Church located in the city of Kiev, one hundred people came to know Christ; of these, 83 were children from the Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children in Kozelets. The majority of these children have undergone complicated surgeries, such as heart and tumor removal. Others have Down syndrome or mental illnesses.

To our great joy, we have established warm and trusting relationships with the staff of the Center (they accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior and started reading the Bible). The Abundance Life Church visits the center weekly.

We play with the children, learn songs about Jesus and put on Christian puppet plays.

McDonaldsThe children always eagerly participate in the activities and if you ask them, “Who is your best friend?”  They answer “Jesus!”  Whenever we ask them how they are doing, they answer, “Praise God!” One of the lessons  the church taught the children was called “The Animal World That God Created”. In order to reinforce the material studied, the church decided to take the students on an excursion to the Kyiv Zoo by comfortable buses. The children also had an opportunity to visit McDonalds and an amusement park. They had a wonderful time.

The next theme of the children’s lesson is going to be “The Underwater World that God Created.”  So we pray God makes it possible for us to go to the Kyiv Dolphinarium.

We wish to reach more underprivileged children and make our God known to them.

The church is planning to start one more project with the children from Borzyansky orphanage and  in Chernihiv region. Borzyansky orphanage has 110 children, aged 5-17 years old; and the other, even poorer orphanage in Komarovka village just 10 km (6.21 miles) away, is a home to 75 children, aged 5-14 years old.

  • Some of the children were found in dungeons breathing glue fumes, with plastic bags on their heads; they did this in an attempt to run away from the cruel realities.
  • Some children were picked up from deserted houses and barns, because their parents had abandoned them.
  • Some of the children had resorted to stealing and begging for food. Even though right now these children live in the orphanage where the government is supposed to take care of them, the state funds allocated for them is scarce. There aren’t extra funds for “extra” necessities, such as vitamins, clothes, or gifts for holidays. The church  brought them gifts for the New Year Eve (sweets, clothes, stuffed toys etc.), but now it is in the churches heart to visit the children regularly and study the Bible with them.

Your help will enable us to care for and teach 268 children and witness to the orphanages’ personnel. Our prayer is for God to open the hearts of the children and workers from these two orphanages in Chernihiv region and that through Him funding would be provided for this new project.

Alina with her husband and three daughters stayed in the blockaded village near Gostomel more than 20 days. Conditions were unbearable - more than 20 days and nights in the cellar… Finally they decided to escape. It was a long road - through 15 pussian checkpoints - Chernobyl, Belarus… and finally Germany. Now, while Alina has been waiting for financial support for refugees, we are helping. After all, we try to do everything we can with what we have, where we are… See MoreSee Less

Mariupol… How much pain, grief, tragic stories and suffering…Until February 24, Evgenii and his wife lived a regular life: they worked, raised the son and planned to start their own business…And suddenly, one day turned their whole life upside down. They lost everything. For almost a month they stayed in blockaded Mariupol in intolerable conditions. They were lucky to get out of that hell alive. Now they have to start all over from the scratch. The purpose of our organization is to support those who is in a very difficult situation in this difficult time for Ukraine…We can’t not help everyone, but everyone can help someone… ... See MoreSee Less

Before Andrii coped with life's difficulties that befell him. Raising his son Arsenii it was not easy.Unfortunately, the boy is disabled and had to stay in a special school with children who has special needs. And only on the weekend they were together. Andrii doesn’t have no one- no wife, no parents, no brothers or sisters. He is single father who did his best to provide his small family. And everything was good till the war started and destroyed their regular life. Andrii lost his job, and the special school where stayed Arsenii was closed because of the war. Andrii really wanted to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but how? Arsenii needs care. He cannot be left alone at home. That's how Andrew is now without a job, without livelihood, without support, with a son who needs special attention. We decided to support Andrii and Arsenii financially. We are sure that the war will end soon with our Victory and everything will come back to our usual life. Everything will be Ukraine💙💛! See MoreSee Less

Gostomel is a small town near Kyiv, which became one of hotspots of the war in Ukraine. Until February 24, we didn’t want to believe that someone could come and destroy our normal life. People worked, children went to the school, dreamed, celebrated birthdays… and suddenly…. War….Vitalik and Olesya's mom shared their story:They spent two terrible weeks in a city blocked by Russian troops without light, heaters, gas under constant fire. They were lucky that of February 23, Olesya celebrated her 10th birthday, and when they were run out of food, there was no opportunity to cook something - they had some rest of sweets from celebrations and they were not hungry. On March 10, the family found out about the "humanitarian corridor". The mom knew she was taking a big risk. Everyone knows the horror stories that happened and are happening during the evacuations in Ukraine. But she had no choice. It was impossible to survive with children in Gostomel. She was taking the most important she has - her children, and kids were taking little backpacks with the essential stuff, documents and…. a few books, they left their home and everything they built day by day all their life. Then very long roads…. Now Vitalik, Olesya and their mom are safe in Germany. They are sincerely grateful to the people who has been helping them with the hospitality and accommodation. Our organisation also wants to join and support the family a little bit.And all of us believe and hope to come back home as soon as possible to our beautiful and peaceful Ukraine !!!! ... ... See MoreSee Less
